When things aren’t going your way, life can seem like a never ending nightmare or string of problems and responsibilities. And it’s tough to get your head out of that space and feel good again; or believe you can even feel good again! Next time you are feeling down or struggling with finding your motivation and purpose, do this: 1. Sit down for 3 minutes and just breathe as if meditating. 2. Just breathe. Breathe in through your nose with your mouth closed for a count of 5 and hold it for 2 seconds. 3. Then gently let your mouth fall open and release your breathe through your mouth at a count of 5. 4. Continue this process of breathing but make sure your breathe is settling and becoming normal to breathe deep and slow. 5. Then focus on one memory or thought that brings you joy or inspiration for two minutes. Really step into this thought and enjoy the feeling it brings to you. Bring it to life! 6. Now, as you go through your day, anytime you begin to feel anxious or lose your momentum or direction, use this picture in your mind to calm the storm. Once your mind is back in a positive state – create a task for yourself to accomplish that will bring you either; progress, joy or rejuvenation. Pratice this method daily and soon you will realize that you can adjust your sails to always reach your destination!
